Preface
People have told me for years that I should write a book.
The problem was never a lack of stories.
The problem was deciding where to begin.
This collection is part memoir, part observation, part comedy, and part evidence that life is often stranger than fiction. Some stories are funny. Some are painful. Some still don’t make sense to me. Most contain a little of everything.
Not every story speaks in the same voice. Some are serious. Some are sarcastic. Some arrive with the subtlety of a freight train. I have found that stories, much like people, tend to develop personalities of their own.
The events described here are true to the best of my memory. The names, dates, and details that matter have been preserved whenever possible.
Whether you consider them tall tales, miracles, misadventures, or simply life, I’ll leave that decision to you.
Welcome to the stories.
